How to Prepare For Jee Mains And Advanced

JEE MAINS AND ADVANCED

First let me introduce myself  I am Baldeep Singh Chhabra .
Who am I to tell you ?
I got 99.88 percentile in Jee Mains 2019 (not too good but ok) And also had prepared for jee mains And Advanced for past two years and I know the mistakes which a Jee aspirant makes During this Journey I had committed many mistakes faced many ups and downs and I will make sure you don't make these mistakes
Some important things which I must tell you are to follow.
1. Work Hard

This is the best and the most important tip anyone can give you. There is no substitute for hard work . You must not give up in these two years. There will be many ups and downs in these two years.Even I faced it.  But you must remember that you will reach your destination if you don't give up.
2. Be consistent . Consistency a key to success
When you go to your coaching class, your teachers would be giving you some homework. Solve it on a daily basis. Do not rest before you solve it or before the day is over. Put your maximum effort. Same applies to tests. There were many Friends of mine who started off very well but while reaching till the end they were off the mark and didn't score well. Set a target maybe 75 - 100 questions on daily basis . The questions may be from any source Including which I will mention in the following paragraphs.
3. Clear your  doubts

Get your doubts cleared. This was the one area where I feel I lagged Behind . I always hesitated to get my doubts clear .But you should not doesn't matter how silly the question is what matters is it should be asked before it creates too much confusion about that topic
4. Deviations

No hangouts, relationships, parties, social media, mobile phones, PC games, TV, etc. You should be focused on your goals. Everything in moderation is OK,but addiction to anything is wrong
5. Resources to refer

For those who are enrolled in a 'good' national/reputed local coaching, your coaching material is more than enough . First finish it twice(solving and then revise). Then move on to these-
Must solve books-
Physics- 1.Anyone of HCV/Resnick Halliday
2. NCERT
 3. Previous 40 years IITJEE Physics papers, chapterwise
Mathematics1. NCERT
 2. Previous 40 years IITJEE Mathematics papers, chapterwise
Chemistry-1. NCERT(MUST)
 2. Previous 40 years IITJEE Chemistry papers, chapterwise
Books for more problems-
Physics- DC Pandey New Pattern Problems in Physics, BM Sharma , DLP/class room material of a good coaching.
Mathematics- Subjective problems by A Das Gupta, G Tejwani .
Chemistry- N Awasthi  in Physical Chemistry, Solomons and MS Chauhan Organic, and OP Tandon(for problems), and DLPs as always.
Books for Olympiads/very good rank Irodov, Krotov in Physics, SL Loney(triginometry and Coordinate Geometry) for mathematics, and JD Lee, Paula Bruice for Chemistry. You must solve the Advanced Level questions of your coaching sheet too. Leave no stone unturned for this.

6. Difference creators-Holidays

Many students tend to waste their holidays(summer break, Diwali break, etc) . Our Teacher told us before Diwali break that if you want to celebrate next Diwali well don't celeb
rate this Diwali  .Use that time well. We hardly get free time in these two years. It's not wise to waste it. Try covering backlogs in this time.  When I prepare I was Usually 1 chapter behind of what was going on in class .Make a diary, write down what all you have in your mind and put it down in your diary. Make a schedule and follow it. Make sure that basic backlogs are removed first and then move on to advanced ones. These breaks can make a huge difference.
Finally, I would like to say give a lot of tests and exams and put your best effort. This journey is very memorable, and make sure the memories turn out to be good.

5 Things I wish Somebody would have told me

So hey guys today I would be writing an article about Most asked questions regarding Jee preparation   The questions are as follows How much should I sleep? Is NCERT reading really important? What are the books to refer to? Is coaching really important? Should I do a good quantity of questions or good quality of questions? So before answering them one by one I would say that there are many more questions to be answered so you can ask your question in the comment box. How much should I sleep?                                                                Now the answer to this question depends only on you. For instance, some of my friends used to sleep 5-6 hours a day but I used to sleep 8 hours a day. But the optimum sleep time is 7 hours a day. You can also distribute this time that is 6.5 hours in the night and a half an hour in the afternoon. This would release  frustration and pressure which you may feel during practicing Is NCERT reading really important?
